inspired by a recent sartorialist post, i can’t get supermodel erin o’connor out of my mind. this was the photo:

i would cut my hair that short to look like that.

with her impossibly english, patrician beauty, her hooked nose and swan-like neck, porcelain skin and trademark jet black bob, o’connor truly embodies the minimalist aesthetic of the early to mid 90s that i am currently obsessed with.

her androgynous, graceful beauty is almost overwhelming and totally unique. it’s all very similar to my love for karen elson, stella tennant, or maggie ritter. i miss the 90s.

although i loved her campaigns for dior, chanel and prada, i happen to think she has killer off-the-runway style too.

plus she’s hilariously dry (oh you brits!) as she once was quoted as saying ‘my job is to sell clothes to very rich women.’ indeed.

she also did her very best american girl impersonation on her old blog for vogue. [quote via fashionista]
“So I’m like totally going to like NYC like yesterday but like most probably just soon for like a totally hot fashion shoot, so um I’m totally gonna freak out and like return and like tell you how psyched I am about like using the words trash and like cell and my apartment like next time we hang out and um blog and LIKE totally talk fashion!!!”
