POPCORN WRITES

This is how I write, sitting on someone's bed, with increasingly bad posture. Photo by Kristen Hahn.

Food is my world. A few years ago, I found a wonderful job as a baker at a small, fun restaurant called Dépanneur le Pick Up. And then, by another stroke of luck, I became the assistant pastry chef at Lawrence… this is my crazy ass life.

When I find the time (and there’s never enough time), I write. Look for me at Acquired Taste Magazine, Kinfolk Magazine, Signal to Noise magazine, YETI magazine, Foxy Digitalis, Paris Transatlantic, Montreal Mirror, Serious Eats, Montreal Gazette, and more. I also have a Twitter. Email: natasha.pickowicz AT gmail.com.

WOW, Natasha! I just went through a large part of your blog–it is fantastic!!! I just went through a bunch of albums and found some fun pics of you and my sister. We just moved a lot of stuff in, so I’m not sure where they are lurking at this very moment, but if you want me to, I will definitely copy and send some to you. You look gorgeous lady! 12. Wow – I found you. I was looking up info about Kinfolk in Montreal and come across your site. I read your piece in Kinfolk’s Volume 3 about a month ago, and have been curious about you ever since. Most locals I meet think I’m crazy for living here and leaving sunny So-Cal. I recently moved to Montreal from Los Angeles. I love Montreal, but I’m a California girl at heart. I invite you to browse my blog, if you think we could have fun conversations, I would love to meet you…V
